Singing Bowl Introduction Course
Singing bowl (Batuka) is a musical instrument. People use it for healing and meditation, and it originated in Nepal. It is popular in Tibet, Bharat, and surrounds as well. We make one session for introductory and also meditative purposes focusing on the target group who don’t have enough time. Why Singing Bowl Introduction Course
- The “singing” sound is remarkable, a powerful, long-lasting harmonic hum that can be both invigorating and calming at the same time.
- Traditional methods of producing bowls have been lost for at least 50 years, but modern manufacturing techniques now create bowls with beautiful tones. Today, artisans make bowls by hand-hammering, machine-making, or a combination of both.
- The best modern bowls come from Nepal.
- Craftsmen typically make modern bowls from “bell metal,” a bronze mixture of copper and tin.
- Artisans made antique bowls from high-quality bronze mixed with metals like gold, silver, and meteoric iron, known as “sky-metal” in Tibet. These combinations contributed to their unique sound and value.
- The presence of different ores in antique bowls creates their distinctive multiphonic overtones, and the mellow tones developed with age contribute to the high value placed on them.

How do the vibrations from the Singing Bowls help in the healing process of disease?
It is considered that illness is a manifestation of dis-harmony within the body—an imbalance in the cells or a particular organ and that healing can be achieved by restoring the normal vibratory frequencies of the diseased, out-of-harmony parts of the body. All matter is energy vibrating at different rates, and altering vibration changes its structure. The sound from the bowls entrains the brain to deeper Alpha and Theta frequencies. This induces deep meditation, peaceful states, clarity of mind, and heightened intuition. When placed directly on the body the sound vibrations are transmitted into our blood, lymph, organs, tissues, and cellular memory through the 60 – 70 percent water in the human body.
