50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice that targets the deeper “yin” tissues of the body – ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones. Unlike dynamic “yang” styles (Vinyasa, Ashtanga), Yin postures are held passively for 1 to 20 minutes, applying gentle, sustained stress to the connective tissues.

This 50-Hour Yin Yoga Immersion & Teacher Training at Himalayan Yoga Academy (HYA) is designed for yoga practitioners (minimum 6 months of any yoga style) and certified teachers (200-hour or above) who wish to:

  • Deepen their personal Yin practice
  • Understand the anatomy of fascia, joints, and tension vs. compression
  • Learn the meridian system (Qi flow) and its application in Yin Yoga
  • Teach safe, aligned Yin Yoga classes with confidence

Upon completion, you will receive a Yin Yoga Certificate (50 Hours) recognized by HYA and applicable for continuing education credits (Yoga Alliance eligible).

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, ligaments, and joints. Unlike dynamic yoga styles like Vinyasa or Ashtanga, Yin Yoga involves holding passive poses for longer periods (3–5 minutes).

This practice allows the body to release deep tension while calming the nervous system.

Yin Yoga is inspired by Taoist philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It works with the body’s energy meridian system, helping balance the flow of energy (Qi) while improving flexibility and joint mobility.

Benefits of Yin Yoga include:

• Increased flexibility and joint mobility
• Deep relaxation and stress reduction
• Improved energy flow through meridians
• Emotional balance and mindfulness
• Better sleep and nervous system regulation

Yin Yoga also beautifully complements more dynamic Yang styles of yoga, such as Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa.
