The 200-hour Professional Ayurveda Massage Training in Nepal is far more than a technical certification. It is a pilgrimage into the wisdom of the Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), a deep exploration of human anatomy through the lens of yogic science, and a practical mastery of therapeutic techniques passed down through generations of Vaidyas (Ayurvedic physicians). Here, you will not just learn how to manipulate muscles; you will learn how to listen to the subtle language of the body, balance the flow of Prana (life force), and restore harmony to the mind, body, and spirit.

Our comprehensive curriculum is meticulously designed to bridge the gap between classical Ayurvedic texts and contemporary massage therapy requirements. Over the course of 200 hours, you will undergo a holistic transformation that covers:

Anatomical Mastery

Move beyond surface-level knowledge. You will explore (theoretically) the skeletal and muscular systems, understand the biomechanics of movable joints, and learn how agonist muscles work in harmony. You will discover why gentle, sustained holds override the myotatic stretch reflex to allow deep tissue release, and how applying pressure in the direction of hair growth aligns with the body’s natural energetic flow.

Tridosha Assessment (Prakriti)

Learn to “see” the invisible. You will master the art of assessing a client’s unique constitution. Is your client a creative but anxious Vata, prone to dry skin and joint crepitus? A sharp, intelligent Pitta with oily skin and a strong digestive fire? Or a calm, robust Kapha with a stout frame and slow metabolism? You will learn to select the precise oil—be it warming Sesame for Vata, cooling Coconut for Pitta, or stimulating Mustard for Kapha—and tailor every stroke to their specific needs.

The Five Pillars of Therapy

Abhyanga (Full Body Oil Massage)
Master the five positions (Sitting, Supine, Lateral Left/Right, Prone) and the specialized routines for the head (Shiro-abhyanga), ears, and feet (Padabhyanga).

Swedana (Fomentation/Sweating)
Learn the therapeutic art of inducing sweat to liquefy toxins, improve circulation, and relieve muscle stiffness, alongside vital hydration protocols using ORS and herbal drinks.

Shirodhara (Forehead Oil Pouring)
Experience the “king of therapies.” Learn the precise rhythm, temperature control, and meditative focus required to pour a steady stream of oil onto the Ajna (third eye) chakra to induce profound deep sleep and mental clarity.

Potali Swedana (Bolus Therapy)
Discover the power of using heated herbal boluses to treat degenerative joint conditions, sciatica, and sports injuries.

Panchakarma Foundations
Understand the preparatory stages (Purvakarma) and your role as a therapist in the five detoxification procedures (Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana), ensuring safe and effective client outcomes.
