Outline

  • Introduction and Check-In (5 minutes):

Briefly explaining the consultation process and set expectations.

Allow the patient to express any immediate concerns or symptoms.

  • Patient History and Prakriti Assessment (15 minutes):

Review of the patient's medical history and lifestyle factors.

Use a structured questionnaire or interview to assess the patient's prakriti (body type).

Ask specific questions related to physical, mental, and emotional characteristics.

  • Agni Evaluation (10 minutes):

Discuss the patient's digestion, appetite, and bowel habits.

Inquire about any digestive discomfort or issues they may be experiencing.

Evaluate the strength of the patient's agni (digestive fire) based on their responses.

  • Ama and Vikriti Analysis (10 minutes):

Observe visual cues such as skin complexion, tongue coating, and overall energy levels.

Guide the patient through self-examination of their tongue, eyes, and nails.

Discuss any signs of ama (toxins) accumulation or vikriti (imbalances) that are observed.

  • Recommendations and Closing (5 minutes - 20 Mins ):

Provide personalized recommendations for diet, lifestyle, and herbal supplements based on the assessment.

Address any questions or concerns the patient may have.

Summarize the key points discussed and schedule a follow-up appointment if necessary.

About the Ayuredic Doctor:

Dr. Roshan Baskota, an Ayurveda practitioner, completed his Bachelor's Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuwan University, Nepal. Following his academic pursuits, he pursued certification programs in Advanced Metabolic Endocrinology from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Selected as a research supervisor by the government of Nepal, Dr. Baskota had the opportunity to immerse himself in the practices of various traditional healers in the Himalayas. He further enriched his knowledge through participation in numerous seminars both domestically and internationally.

Embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Baskota commenced his practice as an Ayurveda general physician in clinics across Nepal. During this period, he underwent training in Panchakarma and Ksharsutra procedures. With two years of clinical experience under his belt, he transitioned to working at a wellness resort where he spearheaded wellness programs primarily focused on preventive, promotive, and rejuvenating measures.

Within his role, Dr. Baskota conducts Ayurveda consultations, utilizes pulse analysis to determine prakriti (Body Type) and imbalances, and offers guidance on dietary, lifestyle, and therapeutic interventions. Outside of his professional commitments, he channels his passion for Ayurveda and Yoga into writing and creating video blogs, sharing his expertise with a broader audience.
